Horribly narrow pavements. Close this road and make it pedestrians only.

Traffic island needed to help walkers and cyclists cross the A10.

With a dropped kerb this could be a handy short-cut to the centre of Letchworth.

Howard Park, Letchworth - no cycling, I think, although there's no sign.

The Icknield Way east from the East Coast Main Line railway bridge

Bridge on the Icknield Way - easier to use the footbridge if it's clear.

Gate on the Icknield Way - rough but cycleable from here to the railway bridge.

This pavement is really narrow and acts as a thoroughfare for families on school drop off. The cars come right up to the edge of the kerb - which is terrifying when you've got a 3 and 5 year old walking with you! Please think about making … [more]

Footpath to Knebworth station

Bridleway

Start of bridleway

Pavement on left hand side (when heading towards Victoria Rd) is too narrow and uneven. Impossible for prams or wheelchairs to travel on it. Even it out and prevent parking opposite.

Pathway was made too narrow for safe pedestrian passing, especially as it is used for school access and a public right of way

Require dropped curb for pedestrians at the junction, it is missing on one side and the curb is too high for people with mobility issues

Pavement too narrow at crossing, no room for pedestrians to pass others waiting at the crossing

Pedestrian crossing required on all arms of the roundabout. Pedestrians have to wait for vehicles to give way.

Narrow footpath, one way only. Increase width of pavement by excavating from embankment.

Add an entrance to the back of the station from St Michael’s Mount to reduce the amount of pedestrians needing to go under the bridge on the single-file pavement.

One incredibly narrow, dark path going under the bridge. Single file only at the moment. Add a footbridge over, or expand the footpath width.

Existing pavement too narrow between B&M and Grove Rd roundabout.

Very narrow footpath under the bridge, busy due to the station

Narrow pavement

Narrow pavement- only one way if someone at the other end

Narrow pavements

Narrow with plants growing over the path too

Pavement here is often restricted by vegetation either bushes or branches from above causing you to walk in the road

Introduce the foot path link that should have been created from foot bridge path to end of station car park. This was a S106 item when Benslow Lane was developed adjacent, in the 80's 90's but was mysteriously missed off the final draft.

Properly clear back vegetation and debris to increase available width of dual-use and footpaths (both sides of road from roundabout at north to Deard's End Ln at south). Currently impossible to safely cycle along provided infrastructure.

No footpath or verge to walk on

Pavement to connect 2 posts of walking paths

Needs maintenance, to muddy to use.

Push verge back to widen path as it's difficult to social distance and traffic is quite fast along this stretch.

There is no continuous pavement for people to walk to Sainsburys. Provide a safe way for people to walk, include people in wheelchairs and with prams!

Provide a safe way for people to walk here - people in wheelchairs, people with prams!

This is an arterial route from the station to town centre. Pavements are too narrow and the road is three lanes at this point. There is also a very adverse camber on the north side of the road. If traffic levels are to be restrained, return … [more]

Letchworth designed for the car not for people or bikes. Pedestrianise Town Centre.

Very narrow pavement on one side only, there is a grass verge however those with accessibility issues cant use this, and it is unsafe for cycles to travel down this road due to careless drivers and no speed cameras

Pavement not wide enough. Also loads of plants obstructing what pavement there is.

On Ickleford Road the footpaths are narrow and so is the road, and cars often park up on the footpath, which makes it very hard to walk along the footpath with a pram or wheelchair at the best of times, and impossible to stay 2m apart. To … [more]

No pavement on that side of the road between Baldock services and the station

ah, the national mud wrestling network, incidentally you can cycle here, if you dare Ed: "Turf Lane" the clue's in the name 😉

Footpath to Letchworth station - this could easily be upgraded as a useful cycle link.
